Oh, dear. Well, I don't know anything except those two sites, hope you got it! If you didn't and you can't wait, here's a link to the HitFix recap.

Ballard spots Echo in the kitchen of the Chinese place, and they engage in a knock-down drag-out fight that lasts way longer than it should between a 105-pound girl and a guy who cripples steroid-enhanced thugs with a single blow.

must have been an amusing scuffle

Oh, Christ, more interview clips. A couple girls give their opinions on the Dollhouse – one finds the idea of someone giving their body over to another person’s fantasy for cash “sort of beautiful,” and the other thinks it’s sick. News flash, gals – you’re living in LA. We already have this here.
Except in the "doll house", one gives up their mind

Quote:
But DeWitt has other plans. Turns out, she’s got a video camera stashed in Ballard’s apartment, and she doesn’t want info about the Dollhouse spread around. She sends Echo after Ballard, to take him out. And she sends Sierra’s handler to murder Melanie, Ballard’s neighbor, so she won’t reveal anything she’s learned during pillow talk.
Murder leaves a mess some people will always remember
Why not just wipe their minds and change their work schedules so the two don't met in the near future?

..... i don't like it.......thats one trick two times !!
BUt anyway the episode kicked ass.
BUt there are a few things that are still confusing me
1) the remote control or trigger mechanism over the phone was something Ms dewitt didn't know about till episode 2 so, how could she use it on Mellie?
2) why did Mellie want the agent to go on finding echo? i mean she's programmed to love him but surely they won't imprint her to encourage his search?
3) as it appears the source from the inside must be topher, the asian girl , or langton ( he came into the room while topher finished the imprint data)
or did i miss something ? any guesses?

- And echo was really imprinted by the inside source right? i mean this wasn't some trick by the dollhouse to fool Ballard ? like putting him on hold or something?

Ah, Mellie wasn't remote wiped - she was remotely Activated. She's already a Doll, she just needed the codeword to change 'state'. So here's the thing - are there any other codewords to activate Mellie to do other things?

I think she's programmed to be a person, but maybe they haven't told her exactly what to do.

It depends if there's any other way of getting into that room without being noticed..

I don't believe it was a trick by the Dollhouse, for the simple reason that story wise, it gives them a lot more angles to go with.

twenty doll houses opens the field

If these houses were all equal, each might end up controlled locally.

A centralized house may maintain control
by embedding hidden dolls within the fondation
of doll houses created afterwards.

OMG! Did you guys see that?! l was very surprised that Mellie turned out to be an active--at one point, l thought she was getting killed for sure!!
So, WHO is sending info to Ballard? And who messed with Echo's imprint?!!

l LOVE this show!!

BTW--l still do not see an option for "new thread". Very frustrating as l often like to respond to the show right after l see it! Cabri said the "new thread" is on the left above the bar. l don't see it, all l see is "reply" whaaaaaa. . .
Maybe it's not there for me because l'm new??
lf that's the case, could someone please put up the episode thread earlier on Friday?
Opps, found it!!

I don't seem to be able to link to a certain post of a thread. Is it just me?

Anyway, as with Mr. Dominic not letting Jonas do the dirty work, I'm not quite getting why DeWitt didn't get rid of Hearn other than by putting Mellie on the police's radar?

No, it's not just you. However, you can find out the post# by clicking on quote for that post, checking out the post # at the beginning of the quote (where it says [quote=beenthere;138525 ]) then you can plug it into that thread url: http://www.jossverse.co.uk/whedon/fo...=2521&p=138358.

There we go! That worked. Just grab the thread url then at the end plug in "&p=(post#)" (without the parentheses of course).

Oh, and I think you have to switch your editor to standard so you can see the tags. If you just use WYSIWYG you won't see the post#. You can change that in your UserCP under Edit Options then go all the way to the bottom.

Perhaps it was a way to completely clear Mellie in Paul's eyes as well as to avoid having to ditch the body, cuz bodies always come back to haunt you.

Wow! That was awesome!! I only just watched it cos my download speed is slow! I guessed it about Melli mainly because I knew that Miracle Lauri was originally cast as a doll but also because there was little reason for her if she wasn't a spy as more than a very background character and also she loves him too much.

I didn't love the television interviews but that was the only thing I didn't LOVE and I didn't hate them. I guessed that Echo's imprint would be tampered with but I thought it would be Alpha again, twisty!

The FBI agent who is a jerk and hates Ballard, is he Badger from Firefly?

Okay. This might be insane but I think Ms Dewitt might be the inside contact.

Ok. I can't stop thinking about who the inside contact might be so I thought I'd post my many theories here.

Theory one: As mentioned above I think it could be Dewitt. She is shown to have sympathy with the dolls, particularly echo. Much, in fact most, of her "evil" or morally ambiguous acts could be attributed to the need to keep her cover in tact.

Theory two: The Japanses chick whose name I don't know who is Topher's assistant. She would probably have the know how and she was placed near the scene. I think she might be a red herring though.

I think it definitely wasn't Topher or Boyd because if it were boyd he would have to be way less of a stirrer than he is. And if it were Topher why not do it at plenty of other times covertly, and why make a big deal of him leaving the room (unless THAT is a red herring)

Theory three: Dr. Claire Saunders. She is intelligent, sympathetic to the dolls and there is something about her character that makes me think she is hiding something. I just don't know if it is somthing good or not. I'm wondering if she was involved with Alpha in some way and that's why the face scars but she wasn't killed (which she should have been given his wickd death skills)

Theory four: Again kind of crazy but what if it is Dominic? I have no clues to back this one up BUT it would be very interesting in a storytelling sense. To have a character who is actually dislikable (not just charmingly amoral like Topher) be the good guy would be a VERY interesting twist. Maybe he wasn't trying to kill echo in ep five but free her or send a clue to Ballard. Or maybe he was but it is STILL him.

Ok. That is all my theories. Basically: anybody.

You're right, the jerk FBI guy is Mark Sheppard (Badger).
