I saw Ghost Town today. We chuckled a lot, it was very entertaining. There weren't constant belly laughs. Not perfect, a little derivative, but I'll probably watch it again when it's available for rent. How can you go wrong casting Ricky Gervais as a misanthropic jerk? ;)

Recommended for horror fans: The Descent. And, oddly, Teeth.

If you have to watch a SciFi movie, try to make sure it's Fire Serpent. It was actually interesting. (Plus it had Nicky Brendon in it so that makes it even cooler. :))

Nick and Norah was highly entertaining. :) Yes, it was Michael Cera being Michael Cera but he fit the part perfectly.

Southland Tales - I think I was hypnotized by it ... I'm not sure whether that is a recommendation or a warning.
I never realized our Buffy knew all those words!

Saw Rachel Getting Married yesterday. It was a very good movie. :) Maybe not Oscar-caliber (the wedding lasted a little too long though that may have been a directorial decision), but I expect at least one nom for the excellent acting.

4 Christmases wasn't awful. Mostly mildly amusing with one LOL moment that I can remember.
Bolt was excellent. Not WALL-E class, but approaching Pixar class. Plus, I saw it in 2D and I heard it's even better in 3D so now I'm thinking of going to see it again. :)

Seven Pounds.
See it.

Confessions of a Shopaholic was entertaining. The leads were very charming (I <3 Hugh Dancy! :)) and the supporting players well cast. I don't know if I'd go as far as EW and give it an A- since it is just a piece of fluff, but it's a strong B for me. :)

Changeling was a good movie. I thought Angelina Jolie performed well although I did get a little weary of her characters tears toward the end, they were justified.
It was very frustrating to watch how she was being treated. I wanted to reach into the TV and ring someone's neck.

The Proposal was highly entertaining, exactly what we expect from Sandra Bullock. So what if it was also highly predictable? ;) Ryan Reynolds is going to be a star. :)
Every Little Step is the best movie I've seen so far this year. It's a doc about the audition process for 2005's revival of A Chorus Line - which is in itself the story of dancers auditioning for a musical.
