hi there whedonfreaks, it has been a while since iwrote a post, there has been a reason for that but anyway let\'s get to the topic!!!
My topic today is about how so many sci fi and horror shows do not make it... the reason is because so many of us are bitterly divided on what we like, and while i know that people have differant taste... i also know that being divided on shows can hurt what could be a hit show. Take for example tru calling... great show, but so many people where mad at eliza for not doing a faith show... Now there is a lot of people who are doing this on dollhouse and fringe... So many dollhouse fans are mad because fringe got a fall spot on fox\'s line up, and dollhouse did not... and so many fringe fans are mad becuse that dollhouse is getting more buzz and hype from the geek community.
It is that kind of bickering that keeps genre shows from getting the audience that they diserve... the terminator show is another great show that get\'s such a mixed response, and i do not know why it is such a cool show. I am not a huge fan of the far right, but they are united... that is why such shows that are aimed at them like desperate housewives... make it is because they are united on what they think!!! We need to have the same kind of attitude if we want our shows or movies to survive!!! at least give a show or movie a chance before you make a judgement... believe me i used to do the same thing, but i relised that when we argue and bicker all we do is divide ourselves and then complaine about how our stuff does not make it, wanna change that, then please stop all the bickering and please try to support stuff that needs our help!!!
So in other words we ned to get our act together, and support sci fi and horror shows and movies... so that way we can have our voice heard. Let us show the world that we are not bickering fanboys and girls and that we show support for our favorite things... and remember to get the word out about genre shows in a inclusive way, and not to alienate people... remember united we stand... divided we fall...
